Breakfast and tour of the capital and most important city of Sicily, Palermo. We'll start with Montreal, to admire the Cathedral, work of the Norman conquerors of the 12th century with the masterpiece gilded mosaics. Following is our introduction to Palermo starting with the impressive exterior of the Cathedral with the Tombs of the Kings, where it stands out uniquely among the narrow streets, an elaborate building with many carvings and twisted towers. In the central square stands out the neoclassical theater Politeama Garibaldi with a very impressive entrance, while the square of Pretoria with an abundance of "naked" statues around the "fountain of shame" as it is called. Next famous attractions of Palermo are the Palazzo dei Normanni decorated with wonderful Byzantine mosaics and one of the largest theaters in Europe, the Teatro Massimo, as well as the best known church of Palermo Martorana, a charming "mix" of different architectural rhythms. Back at the hotel & dinner. In the evening you can attend the Resurrection Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of Agios Alexander the Martyr.

Breakfast and immediately after we head to the city of Akragantes, where the famous Valley of the Temples. The city was founded around 580 B.C. by colonists of Gela, who named her Akraganta, like the homonymous river. Akragas developed rapidly and became one of the richest and most prominent Greek colonies "Great Greece". Here we will visit the temple of Zeus, the temple of Herakles, the temple of Hera Lakinia and of course the unique temple of the Dioskouri, copy of the Parthenon, which survives almost intact. After we finish this wonderful tour, boarding our coach and departure for Syracuse, the metropolis of the Ancient Greek civilization of the entire West. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Breakfast and then a tour of the city of Syracuse and its unique monuments as well as the most important city of Greater Greece and one of the most important ancient Greek cities. Here we will visit and tour the archaeological temples of Athena, of Jupiter & of Apollo. Then we visit the archaeological site of Syracuse, where, among other things, we will see the magnificent altar of Hieros II 200 meters and width 23, the Roman amphitheater of Syracuse, Nymphaeion but also the quarries inside the archaeological park, where they were forced to work over 10.000 Athenians, after their defeat in the Sicilian campaign. Free time and we continue to the baroque city of Noto, the southernmost tip of Sicily with ornate buildings, which was completely destroyed by his terrible earthquake 1693, and rebuilt from scratch and at the same time included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Return to our hotel in Syracuse. Dinner & overnight stay at our hotel.

Breakfast, delivery of the rooms and departure for the city of Catania, where it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its restored baroque architecture. Here we will have the opportunity to tour the impressive outdoor theater, which although called Greek is essentially Roman. We will also see the castle of Ursino, where Frederick and all his successors lived. The Teatro Massimo Bellini is Catania's opera house dedicated to the composer Bellini, who composed the famous Norma and staged it for the first time at this theatre. We will meet in the central square of the city, Piazza del Duomo, on the eastern side of which is the city's cathedral, while on the right is the Town Hall. In the fountain in the square many people throw coins and make wishes like in the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
