Mexico is a country of the southern part of North America. The official name is Estados Unidos Mexicanos (United Mexican States). Bordering the Pacific and Atlantic ocean. It occupies most of the Mexican peninsula that connects North America with South. It borders with the US, southeast with Guatemala and Belize. It has an area 1.972.549 sq.km.. and population 121.005.815 according to estimates 2015. The capital is the city of Mexico. Other cities are: the Guadalajara, Monterrey, Acapulco, the Mexicali, the Torreón, the Merida, the Tijuana, San Luis Potosi, Ciudad Juarez etc.. Official language is Spanish, while most of the population has embraced the Christian Catholic doctrine. Monetary unit is peso. To Mexico is the most populous Spanish-speaking country. The country is divided into 31 federated states and one federal district.
