About England

England is an island country in Europe and part of the United Kingdom. It borders with Scotland and west Wales. England bordering northwest of the Irish Sea, while south of the Celtic Sea. The North Sea to the east and the Sea Channel to the south separate it from continental Europe. England is mainly the central and southern part of the island of Great Britain, located in the North Atlantic Ocean. The country also belong 100 smaller islands, like squill Islands and the Isle of Wight.

The area now called England was originally inhabited by modern humans during the Upper Palaeolithic period, however it got its name from the English, a Germanic tribe who colonized during the 5th and 6th century. It became a single state 927 A.D. and the Age of Discoveries in the mid-15th century had a significant cultural and legal impact worldwide. The English language, the Anglican Church, and English law – the basis of the legal systems of many other countries around the world – developed in England. Furthermore, the parliamentary system of government widely adopted by many other states. In this and started the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century, transforming society in the first industrialized state.
