Travel program

1day: Athena - Rome, tour Catacombs & (Rome by night)

Gathering at the airport and departure for Rome. Arrival, meeting with Greek speaking guide and introduction to the "Eternal City". We start the tour of the city with first visit to the catacombs of St.. Callistus, where we will see the crypts of grandparents and the tombs of the early Christians or alternatively (depending what open) the architecturally impressive Catacombs of Domitilla, where the basilica dedicated to St.. witnesses Niritos and achilles. Crossing the Appian Way to see the famous Baths (Thermes) Emperor Caracalla operating over 300 years, before you reach the most representative building of the Roman Empire, the imposing Colosseum & the Arch of Constantine. Then, passing under the Capitol then the Acropolis of ancient Rome and current Hall of eternal city, will arrive in Piazza Venezia, where stands the Palazzo Vitoriano building dedicated to the first King of Italy and integrates the monument of the unknown soldier, Palazzo Venezia, the balcony where Mussolini used to climb and deliver his speeches and the Palazzo Bonaparte where Napoleon's mother lived in the last years. Transfer to the hotel for rest. For the evening you can optionally follow Rome by Night, a special tour of the city among its illuminated buildings, which will surely impress you with its different aspect under the light of the stars (participation fee €25, for participation 7-8 people).

2day: Rome (Vatican Museums & Basilica of St. Peter) & Resurrection Service !

Breakfast and today the day is dedicated to one of the top museums in the world. Those who wish a large bronze gate will lead you "magically" from Italy to the smallest country in the world, the Vatican. For this visit we have taken care of you by ensuring the corresponding pre-booking, to avoid waiting in the long line. (cost of participation by transfer, pre-booking, entry fee, headphones, Greek speaking guide: 50€ adult, 40€ child up to 18 years or student up to 25 years). In the museums you will admire vast collections of priceless works of art, such as the famous Sistine Chapel or Raphael's rooms. Next is the tour of the Basilica of St. Peter, where it is the largest papal church in Rome, where inside there are hundreds of statues which in themselves are artistic treasures with the highlight being Michelangelo's Pieta. In the evening we suggest you watch the Resurrection sequence (15 Apr.) in the Orthodox church of Agios Theodoros.

3day: Rome (excursion to Florence)

free day. Those who wish can choose a full-day excursion to Florence (participation fee €85, for minimum participation 7-8 people), the city that is synonymous with art, a hymn-city in the Renaissance.

4day: Rome - Athena

Free day to walk the shopping streets of the city, which are full of chic shops and top designer fashion boutiques, with the main streets being Via Sistina and Via Condotti (on Fifth Avenue in Rome) and Via del Babuino whose mix of haute couture and antiques makes it one of Rome's most elegant streets.

5day: Rome - Athena

Breakfast & transfer to the airport for the return flight to Athens.
