Travel to India is restricted to specified categories of passengers. You will be required to take a COVID‑19 PCR test both before departure and on arrival. Please check the requirements of your final destination before you travel.
Travel eligibility
Flights to India will be restricted only to the following passengers:
- Nationals of India, Nepal and Bhutan
- All overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and person of Indian origin (PIO) cardholders holding passports of any country;
- UAE nationals and foreign nationals intending to visit India for any purpose (including their dependents on appropriate category of dependent visa) except those on Tourist visa. Tourist Visas / e‑Tourist Visas issued on or after 6 October 2021 will be accepted from 15 November 2021.
Required forms
- All passengers, including children and infants, must submit a self‑declaration form (SDF) under the Air Suvidha section on the online portal before the scheduled departure with complete contact details and address. Passengers will receive an approval code that must be presented at the time of departure.
- All passengers must upload their vaccination certificate (full/partial vaccination) on the Air Suvidha online portal. Passengers must also carry a printed copy of the vaccination certificate.
- All passengers must download the Aarogya setu app on their mobile devices.
COVID‑19 testing requirements
- All passengers, including children and infants, must upload their COVID‑19 RT‑PCR results on the Air Suvidha online portal for a test taken within 72 hours prior to the start of their journey.
- All passengers must carry a hard copy of a negative COVID 19 RT‑PCR certificate test at the time of departure. Digital copies will not be allowed. Certificate should be in English, specifying name of passenger and the outcome of the test.
On‑arrival COVID‑19 Test and Quarantine Requirements for all destinations except Mumbai
- Travellers from specified Countries at risk, will follow the protocol as detailed below:
Countries at risk, as updated on date 20 October 2021: Europe (including UK), South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe
If the traveller is coming from a country listed under Category A (UK, France, Germany, Nepal, Belarus, Lebanon, Armenia, Ukraine, Belgium, Hungary and Serbia):
- If fully vaccinated (15 days after last dose): They will be allowed to leave the airport and self‑monitor their health for 14 days after arrival.
- If partially/not vaccinated: The traveller must comply with the following measures:
- Undergo COVID‑19 testing on arrival at their point of entry, after which they will be allowed to leave the airport,
- Home quarantine for 7 days
- Re‑test on day 8 of arrival in India, and if negative, self‑monitor their health for another 7 days.
If the traveller is coming from the rest of Europe, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand and Zimbabwe will follow the protocol as detailed below:
- Undergo COVID‑19 testing at the point of entry, after which they will be allowed to leave the airport,
- Home quarantine for 7 days
- Re‑test on day 8 of arrival in India, and if negative, self‑monitor their health for another 7 days.
- Travellers from countries except countries at risk will be allowed to leave the airport and self‑monitor their health for 14 days after arrival.
On‑arrival COVID‑19 testing and quarantine requirements for Mumbai
- If fully vaccinated (15 days after last dose): Passengers will be allowed to leave the airport and self monitor their health for 14 days after arrival.
- If partially/not vaccinated: The traveler must comply with the following measures:
- Undergo COVID 19 testing on arrival at their point of entry, after which they will be allowed to leave the airport
- Home quarantine for 7 days
- Re test on day 8 of arrival in India, and if negative, self monitor their health for another 7 days.
- Alternatively, authorities may mandate on‑arrival PCR testing for random arriving passengers irrespective of their vaccination status/port of origin.
Ahmedabad (AMD)
On‑arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 700 per person.
In order to expedite the sampling process upon arrival at Ahmedabad, all passengers who require testing are requested to fill the required information on the NorthStar Labs website.
Nuberg Supretach rapid COVID‑19 PCR testing facilities are also available at the Inter Terminal Link Way, opposite T1 in SVPI Airport, Ahmedabad. Cost of test is INR 4000 per passenger.
Bangalore (BLR)
All passengers travelling to Bengaluru (BLR) must download the Aarogya setu app, Quarantine Watch app and Apthamitra app on their mobile devices. Click here to download the apps.
On‑arrival molecular test per person will cost approximately as below:
- RT‑PCR Express INR 3,200, 30 minutes processing time
- RT‑PCR (normal) INR 800, 4 hours processing time
All passengers who require testing must pre book and pre pay for the above tests through this link.
Chennai (MAA)
All passengers must, ensure TN e‑pass is applied and details are ready to be shown to state health authorities. Contact us to update the details of TN e‑pass at least 48 hours before departure
Transfer passengers on arrival who are travelling to other states have to apply for fresh e‑pass on arrival and follow the other state process when connecting on to a domestic flight. Transfer facility of passengers and baggage currently not available.
On‑arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 1,200 to 2,500 per person.

Delhi (DEL)
On‑arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 800 per person.
Passengers who have to wait for their results before their connecting flights must pay for the lounge cost at approximately INR 2,600 per person.
Hyderabad (HYD)
On‑arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 1,250 per person.
Passengers who have to wait for their results before their connecting flights must pay for the lounge cost at approximately INR 4,200 per person.
Kerala (COK/TRV)
All passengers travelling to Kerala must also update their details on COVID‑19 Jagratha portal at least two days before departure.
On‑arrival molecular test will be free of cost.
Kolkata (CCU)
On‑arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 950 per person.
Mumbai (BOM)
On‑arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 600 per person.
