Costa Rica is a Central American country, by area 51.100 sq.km.. and population (ranked 121st in the world) 4.890.379 residents, according to official estimates 2016. Bordered on the north by Nicaragua and southeast with Panama, while the east is washed by the Caribbean, and south and west by the Pacific Ocean. The country is divided into seven apartments. Capital of the country is San Jose.
